Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then she became an anchor in the morning and a reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's articles in Charleston, about how the Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter directive for state authorities. Ms. O'Dell was honored by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative reporter. Then she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as an anchor on weekends and weekdays. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She was a reporter for events like The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals for The Emmys & The Golden Globes.
